I haven't tried "designer protein" but I have tried ProBlend55 and ProComplex...both of which I like. I'm also a huge fan of Ultra Pure Protein canned drinks by Worldwide Sport Nutrition...they are great for taking into work or when you travel...just make sure they are super, super chilled Linda

I use the french vanilla Designer Protein and I mix it with soy milk, and a lowcarb drink that we have here called Splash, It is a fruit flavored drink I use when water starts to get to me. Mixed together these two taste a lot like an orange julius to me. Not too bad at all. When I am in a hurry or want a change of flavor iI go for the Ultra Pure Protein pre mixed in the can. 7 months post-op and I have lost 94# since surgery.

I use ProScore 100 chocolate with water & ice, thick 'n rich like a shake. I also like ProBlend 55 vanilla with diet root beer for a float. My husband prefers it with diet orange pop. Once blended, there is not carbonation. We also occasionally mix the vanilla or ProLab peach with sugar free Tang, diet ice botanitcals or Crystal Light. And we like to have a grape, every now & then, rarely a tropical punch of the Extreme Pure Pro that is a powder but tastes like Crystal Light. In the car, I carry dry powder of ProBlend 55 choc/can 50/50 and I can just add water and shake any place, any time. We never use milk or milk subs as a beverage since we have reached and maintained 100% wt loss for 6 and 5 yrs now. Not adding a single extra calorie or g of sugar. So, we mix them all with water or s/f beverages.

Hello...I'm still pre-op (only 12 days to go...). I was concerned about losing hair, so have opted to get started with protein early. I ordered a bunch of samples from Michelle Curran (www.vitalady.com). I couldn't see committing to the money to buy something I didn't know if I'd like or not. It's actually kinda fun to try out all the different brands and flavors. I really liked the chocolate Designer protein. So far I've actually enjoyed them all but two...the chocolate peanut butter cup by SciFit and the vanilla praline by Designer Protein. I think it really comes down to a matter of taste. Once I get through all (or most) of the samples, I'll be ordering a few different kinds. As they say, variety is the spice of life. Good luck on your quest...

My last post sounded as though I got the samples for free. I meant that I didn't want to commit to spending money for a whole month's supply to find that I didn't like it. I purchased the samples and am very glad I did. :-)
