Question:
Anyone know of a current, up-to-date list of High Protein Foods?
Hello All!! I've checked out the Library for an answer to this question. I found :www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/9847/protein.html,however, it was/is no longer displayed. It said that the page could not be found. Any other suggestions?? — yourdivaness (posted on September 29, 2005)

My favorite website for nutrient information is from the U.S. Dept. of
Agriculture. At
http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/Bulletins/links.htm
you can chart foods by protein and carbohydrate content (among other
nutrients). And, because the same items are on each list, you can
cross-reference them.

A good resource to bookmark is the WLSFriends.com. Its a messagae board
that is Free to sign up. There is so many resources there. There is links
to all kinds of resources for foods, meds and misc. WLS issues. There is a
place where you can get recipes and opinions on whats the best protein
mix... I could go on and on. You can also make a donation to help with the
support too. This is not a sales ad... I just thinks its a wealth of good
info for WLS. Just like OH is.

I have not had the WLS yet. However, I do have kidney failure and have
dialysis 3 times a week. The diet for kidney failure is very high protein.
Try the kidney falure site and go to receipes. The site is DaVita.com
