Question:
Has modelling crossed your mind since your WLS?
Have you noticed significant changes in how you look now as opposed to how you looked prior to your decision to have Bariatric Surgery? I'm sure your self-esteem and confidence has gone through the roof by now. You're socializing more, smiling more, SHOPPING MORE...but has the thought crossed your mind about being a model or a Physical Fitness model? Just wanted to 'hear' your answers. Never. I am not 15 nor am I 105lbs. I'm content to look normal, that's
all I ever wanted.

Thank you for the "humorous question of the day"! If you know
anyone who's looking for a 47-year old, 170 pound model, please let me
know. I guess I could do plus-size modeling, but I think the age puts me
out of the running! I do have the height, though (5'8").

Hadiyah, I haven't considered that at all - I would never be able to stand
up in front of people BUT in my nutrition support group there is a woman
who looks positively amazing and lost lots of weight and had plastic
surgery and if you saw her today you wouldn't even recognize her from her
"before" pictures. Well, she came into the meeting about a month
ago with a beautiful evening type gown and we inquired and she said that
she is running for MS. PETITE beauty contest. Her self-esteem was through
the roof and she radiated confidence. I don't know the outcome from the
contest because I haven't seen her since but I just wanted to let you know
that there are some post WLS patients out there strutting their beautiful
bodies.

I havent personally thought about it. But when i did the article for people
magazine my photographer said i had definite potential. He said i looked
very comfortable in front of the camera (even though i ran from it for
years) and that i pictured very well. I have a friend that is a model and i
take alot of her pictures but sometimes she turns the camera on me...i wish
i was pretty enough. I just had a TT, so maybe once i get my thighs done
and my 'girls' done ill be able to but i dont see to many flat
chested, saggy thighed models that are 5'1 lol.

Never, but it's because no matter how much I weigh I am simply not
photogenic. My Dh, now he is photogenic and looks better in pictures than
in person. LOL But I look terrible in pictures and that is simply a fact. I
am just happt to be normal like the other poster said.
