Question:
Post Ops: Any Vegetarians out there 2 or more years?
I'm interested in knowing what you are eating these days for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Having been out of circulation for a while, and was sidetracked. I've gone through a significant amount of struggles, but need some new ideas on what to eat again. Are you taking Vitamins A,D,E,K? Where do you get them? I wish thery were available in liquid form. I need suggesstions for an excellent multivitamin. My doc says I need to take two per day. Proximal LAP RNY 9/3/02 265/182/115-126 Hadiyah, a.k.a.~~ — yourdivaness (posted on May 18, 2005)

DR,
I am only 2 months post op but I do use a vegetarian chewable multivitamin it's
Pioneer chewable. I know that Whole Foods carry them but I ordered mine on
line. Good Luck with everything.

I'm not vegetarian, but I do take a
great OTC pre-natal vitamin by Puritan's Pride. I order it online.

ORIGINAL POSTER HERE: I heard Pre-natal vitamins were good for us. I'm
kinda partial to liquids now though, I'm tired of the *monstrous* pills we
have to take. If I can get past taking large pills, I'll just about try
anything that will have a positive impact on my health and my labs for the
rest of my life!

I am a vegetarian and almost 3 years
out. I take the Flinstones chewables. I don't like to take large pills
either, so I like these plus they taste fine, unlike the prenatal chewables
I tried to take during pregnancy. A typical day of eating for me is Special
K cereal and skim milk for breakfast and maybe one egg; reduced-fat peanut
butter on whole wheat bread for lunch; something like a Lean Cuisine or
Subway wrap for dinner. For "snacks" in between, I like
Nutrigrain bars and Wheat Thins. I try to also get in one protein drink
every day.
