I was able to drink 16 ounces in my 30 minute drive back and forth to work
at about 2 months out. Now I can do at least 20 ounces in the same amount
of time.

I am nearly 10 yrs out and it varies from day to day. Some days, it seems
to "seep" in and other days, it seems that I can put down TWO 20
oz bottles of water. Being able to drink several oz in an hour should not
alarm you. IF food drops through (or won't go through, then you might check
into it. Watch yourself and see if some days you can drink like the old
days and other days like a newbie. That'd be pretty normal, to my way of
thinking. I don't ever drink like a rookie any more, but rarely can drink
like a pre-op either.

Cindy...I'm 19 weeks out and I constantly sip on something practically all
day with the exceptions being close to my meal times. But, I can drink a
16 oz glass of Crystal Lite in about an hour by just sipping while I'm
watching TV. Also, I drink 24 oz of water during the time I'm doing my
workout at Contours and just afterward. I always take a fresh bottle of
water with me and by the time I get home, I've finished the full 24 oz. I
have to take meds that cause me to have a really dry mouth and as long as I
sip steadily, it doesn't hurt me. I have also tried drinking just during
commercials when I'm watching TV...two or three drinks during each break
helps to get the fluids down in a reasonable amount of time not to make you
feel too full. Hope this helps...Kathy
