Question:
Not a question, just wanted to share!

After many, many years I can now cross my legs! This has really freaked me out! I was just sitting down one day and just crossed them. It felt so natural. I was amazed. It is the little things that make this so wonderful. I was walking the other day and realized that my legs were rubbing together, I mean actual movement there not just stuck together. I am down 112 and still have about 70 more but I feel great now. What a blessing I have been given! Happiest of Holidays to you all!    — peggyp (posted on December 2, 2003)

Hi, Peggy! When I read your comment, I nearly laughed out loud!! Yes, I remember the day when I realized I could EASILY AND COMFORTABLY cross my legs!! I've lost 136 lbs. It's a great feeling, isn't it? I'm waiting for the day when I know I'm REALLY thin--when I can cross my legs and then wrap my ankle around the opposite calf (you know that "flamingo thing" that really skinny women do?) There are more surprises in store for you--just wait!!----HUGS--

Oh, too funny - I just crossed my legs for the first time Sunday night. And I didn't notice it - the friend I sat down next to on the couch said "hey - look at you!" And last night, I found my knees instead of one big thick tree trunk from thigh to ankle. These little things make me giddy! Happy Holidays back atcha!

I haven't lost enough to cross my legs yet but I have been wearing jeans again. I love to hear the sound of the jeans as I walk again. I don't pay much attention to it then all of a sudden I will realize it and start to smile. I am also enjoying getting second looks from guys and having them start up conversations with me. I am really beinging to enjoy my new body as it changes.

That is so funny....just yesterday morning my hubby was commenting on how skinny my legs are getting and I said, "No their not! Skinny is when you can wrap your leg back around under itself when you cross them (the flamingo thing)." Then, I tried it and was amazed how easy it was and how far around it went! Oooops. Maybe I'm not so fat any more after all! I also recently discovered (while clothes shopping) the my thighs no longer touch when I stand with my feet together. I don't EVER remember that happening...even as a child. How cool is that!

Hey Peggy!! Isn't life great?? And you know what??It just keeps getting better and better!! I always had to hold my breathe to tie my shoes, now I bend over, absolutely anywhere!! and tie my shoes. So if you're walking along and some lady just stops and bends over- it could be me!! haha..Before I would look for something to prop my foot up on!! The little things mean the most I think!! Good Luck!! Keep up the good work!!

Hi Peggy, you and I started out at just about the same weight :) well anyways- These were two HUGE accomplishments for me (as I sit here with my legs crossed) I now do it as a sport, I'll sit and cross, uncross, cross, uncross my legs...JUST BECAUSE I CAN (haha) Also, I remember taking a walk this summer, and kept thinking SOMETHING IS SO WEIRD...it took me a few minutes to realized MY LEGS WERE NOT RUBBING TOGETHER- I mean, how strange is it to feel weird because they are NOT rubbing (they always have) It still feels like somthing is "wrong" LOL..I was just so USED to it..it was "normal".....Best wishes Kim

Diane wrote~~the only downside is that I am used to putting things between my legs to hold when I am doing things with both hand..and now they fall..~~~LMAO.....just yesterday I was trying to tie my sons shoe and was holding my car keys...I put them between my legs so that they wouldnt be lying on the ground. They wouldnt stay, I had to put them between my knees. I thought, thats odd...and went about my business. I really didn't think anything of it till I read your post. It's fun still finding these little things even when you have been at your goal weight for over a year. Things still pop up that amaze me.
