Question:
What exactly is YMMV? I've seen that on several question posts
I don't know what it means. What does YMMV stand for? — tinky471 (posted on September 2, 2003)

HUH? Your Mileage May Vary??? I still don't understand...what does it
have to do with wt. loss surgery. Or is this a new "buzz phrase?"

It's meant to say that your experience (with whatever is being discussed:
rate of weight loss, insurance approval, tolerance of certain foods, etc.)
may be different from the experience of the person answering the question.
Like: "This is how it went for me, however, your mileage - ie
experience - may vary."

It means that not everyone loses weight at the same pace nor do they get
the same "mileage" on their surgery. Some lose 80% of the weight
they need to lose, some 100%, some 65%. Everyone doesn't lose 10lbs a
month, some lose more, some less. Best regards,
