Question:
HELP ME, PLEASE! I've tried just about everything...What now?
Okay, now I've been going through these "issues" now since months 6 and 7, I believe. Yeah, I'm talking about the plateau AND my hair keeps falling out! You can almost see my brains! (just kidding). I've done all; increase water, increase protein all that. I cannot increase to any more protein. I'm at 130g and that is making me not feel very well. Too much of anything is not good, so we will have to try something else folks. I'm taking Biotin 1000mg/day., and I'be been told that I don't need to "increase any more protein at this time because it's overburdening on my kidneys right now. Am I going to have to buy a wig? As far as my kidneys are concerned, I'm not in the market for being on dialysis. What else can I do at this point? Thanks for your input? I would hang in there, I have heard people where I live say that it can
last up to about 10-12 months and it usually starts about 6-8 months, I am
sure it will let up eventually!

Hey, I wanna see your brains! Well, ok, if the issue is not protein, and
you're past the post-op anesthesia thing, and the wt loss is slower than a
speeding bullet now, then all the usual are ruled out. The usual for US.
Now, go to the usual for a normie. Thyroid, for example. Has your PCP run
a full set of everything, or are you still going by what your surgeon
orders? They can only see what they see. Your PCP will think outside the
box for other issues, beyond malabsoprtion. OK? PROMISE?

My nutritionist suggested taking Zinc. I had been taking biotin since
surgery and was still loosing lots of hair. Within 1 week of starting the
Zinc it stopped completely.
