Question:
having pain in right lower abdomen
i'm 11 weeks post-op and yesterday, i experienced what felt like a severe gas attack with the dry heaves lasting several hrs. today, i feel a soreness/discomfort in the right lower abdomen any ideas? THANKS — kim F. (posted on July 5, 2003)

Did your surgeon remove your gall bladder during your surgery?? If not,
sounds like a gall bladder attack to me. good luck!!

Right lower ab, is the appendix. Vomiting is also a symptom. Get this
checked asap.

My gall bladder attacks started in the middle right at the breast bone then
the pain worked its way around to the right then the pain finally parked
itself in my back where it stayed for several hours. Horrendous pain that
sometimes caused vomiting. I never had any pain in the right lower abdomen
with these gall bladder attacks. Your gall bladder is located just to the
right of your stomach and a little behind it. So the lower right area of
your abdomen is too low for it to be a gall bladder problem.
