Question:
How can I MAXIMIZE my Window of Opportunity?
Well, AMOS Brothers & Sisters, it's getting close to my 1st year WLS anniversary come September 3, 2004. I'm presently concerned that I may have reached and might miss my window of opportunity-it's be devastated! How can I *MAXIMIZE* the upcoming window? Is it too late? Anything I need to change or do differently besides trying to avoid a lot of stress? I've had a lot of that lately. I appreciate ALL of you taking the time to respond to my questions today. — yourdivaness (posted on June 10, 2003)

You have not missed your "Window of Opportunity". You are still
well within the 12 - 18 month window of weight loss. Just keep sticking
with the program--protein, water, exercise. It is natural for the
weightloss to begin tapering off drastically at this time. You will
continue to see weight loss at a slower rate, but it will still happen if
you just hang in there, girl. Best of luck to you.

I've only been looking into surgery for a few months now, but this site has
some info on rules for maximizing weight loss after the honeymoon period
when you've had a RYN. www.digitalhorsewoman.com/pouchrules.htm
