Question:
Does weight loss slow down before monthly period?
I will start my period this week and have only lost one pound this week. I am 10 weeks post op and have lost 50 pounds. Am I a slow loser? I know I need to throw that damn scale out, but I am obsessed! — peggyp (posted on June 8, 2003)

YES!!! my weight loss before and during my period is depressing but the
week after is always so good that it makes up for it. You have lost 5
pounds a week and that is AWESOME!! I agree woth the scale thing. I gave
mine to my nutritionist and while I still miss i that thing was driving me
insane! Good Luck!!!

Me too! The scale doesn't move right before my time of the month, but my
body seems to make up for it when all is done! Hang in there, and keep up
the good work!

When you have your cycle you gain 1 to 5 lbs of fluids that you loose
during the cycle. So if you are slowing down right before and or not
loosing at all you are still loosing big time. Because before surgery
regular cycles would show your weight go up. SO know your doing great
during this time. I'm still pre-op but this is regular knowledge from
biology. Keep up with the great loss you are having.
