Question:
Does anybody know of a good free download to track weight loss progress?
I have always responded well to visualizing goals and have looked on the web for a free weight loss chart to download only to find thousands of ads for diet programs that I am no longer lulled into believing! Any ideas? — Melissa D. (posted on April 17, 2003)

Melissa, I don't know of a good download, but have you looked at
www.fitday.com? It's a web site that you can use to track your weight
loss, food intake, exercise, etc. It's free and it's pretty neat. I've
been using it for a year, and I find it extremely helpful.

There is a program called Diet Power thats good for tracking what you eat,
your exercise and your weight loss. If you have trouble finding it email
me.

I would like to add another vote for Fitday.com. I love it! I've been
using it since day one and I continue to use it faithfully to this day and
I am almost one year out. Good luck!

I like www.fitday.com too. I've been using it for 3 months and love the
reports that can track how much I've been exercising, my average calories,
my average protein etc. And I can get stats for the past month, two months
etc. It is extremely helpful! CB 1/27/03 298/245/175

I use carolieking also. Downloaded it into my palm pilot. I love it!
But, it certainly isn't free. 35 bucks. But I can take it with me. If
you have a palm pilot, you can trial it for 7 days free. Good luck.

I use fitday.com because it lets me add foods to the database that I eat a
lot. I noticed that calorieking.com has a bigger database (by food brand)
than fitday, but I couldn't figure out how to add anything to that database
(maybe the paying version lets you do it, but not the free version?). So
when fitday doesn't have the info I need to add something that I ate, I
look it up on calorieking and then add it to my fitday foods.
