A follow-up on telling a new boyfriend about my surgery: I told him and ...

He couldn't have been more supportive! Thank you to all of those who shared their experiences and suggestions. He was SO very supportive and understanding. He has dealt with his own weight issues and surgical issues, so I believe that made him that much more understanding. He DID have concerns (prior to my sharing everything) that perhaps I was a closet-eater or that I was afraid or nervous to eat in front of him! He even discouraged me from not ordering a full entree at dinner and told me, "..we can just ask for a doggie bag..". I can't believe that I found such a wonderful man! I had been dating for over FIVE years before I met him. I still am a good 50+ lbs from goal, yet I must say that this surgery has been a godsend and though I believe I've always been a positive person, I think it helped me be *open* (read: positive, aware) to finding such a great guy. that is so awesome I am totally happy for you! I know it was hard to tell him and I had to do the same thing and im glad both of us had positive results! :)
