Question:
Has anyone used Dr. Barry Greene (in Silver Spring, MD)??
I'm so excited, I can barely stand it... My husband has finally decided to have WLS!!!

I had my surgery with Dr. Anez, and while I adore home, we live in Rockville, MD, and having surgery all the way in Fair Oaks, VA is quite a haul. I had my WLS Nov. 4th,2002 with Greene. I feel he is excellent. I
actually switched doctors to go to Greene. So did a friend of mine. As
far as office staff they are great. The only complaint is Julia does not
return calls promply. Greene does his surgery lap--which is a big plus.
My surgery was at Holy Cross Hospital. Was not a bad experience. I was in
over night only. Went in on Monday and released on Tuesday at 8:30pm.
Gave the beltway time to "lighten" up. I live 2 and a half hours
away in Frostburg, MD. My husband really felt confident more with Greene
than my other doctor. Greene did have me do more testing and requested you
have a resp.therpist on staff at Holy Cross. I had Dr.Gita Bakshi. She
was great. Greene asks that you do 30 days of Lovenox injections
following surgery and a B12 monthly.(10$ at his office) Protein drinks
before and after wls. I feel he is great!!! He also has support group
meeting at Holy Cross . Maybe you and your husband could attend. He
requires you to attend at least 2 anyway. Go early, it gets packed. I
feel he is great!!!! Any questions write or call me. # is listed under
Richard in book. Lots of luck!! Jill
