Question:
Okay what is up with my feet swelling?
I have lost 71 pounds, and for the last week my feet have been sweeling to the point of being painful. What the heck is with this?? I drink all my water, get my protien in. I had this problem, when I was heavier, but cannot understand why they are swelling NOW. I was owndering if anyone else has had this problem after losing a good amount of weight? Hugs — Jeri P. Are you supplementing your protein or getting all your protein from food
sources? What surgery did you have?
I am an open distal RNY.. and I have edema( swelling in my feet) when my
protein levels are not normal..If your total protein level is deficient,
one of the signs is swelling in the feet and lower legs.. You might
consider having labs drawn.. specifically a metabolic panel..

Hello. I don't wish to scare you, but call your doctor right away. Edema
in your extremities may be a symptom of a few minor things but it can be a
symptom of some major problems too, such as congestive heart failure. Like
I said, I don't wish to scare you. Chances are, if it were serious you
would have other symptoms too, but PLEEZ call this in right away. Are you
having any shortness of breath? If you would, please email me with the
outcome. I care.

I did the same thing. Dr gave me a water pill and it was better in a couple
of days. Now if I swell a little I just take one ASAP and they never hurt
anymore.
