Question:
my dr. wants me to take 300mg of iron 3 times a day

when i went to pick some up; the bottle reads 65mg/325mg ferrous sulfate.so i'm assuming that's what i should go by? (325)    — nikki R. (posted on June 10, 2002)

You'd have to ask him if he means elemental iron or iron salts. You also might want to try another form. Sulfate is not well absorbed, and is the form that causes gastric distress, constipation and blocks absorption of Vit E.
