Question:
HAS ANYONE WON AN APPEAL USING WALTER LINDSTROM

I HAVE BCBS OF FLORIDA PPO, AND WAS DENIED, DUE TO NOT HAVING ONE YEAR OF SUPERVISED DIETING UNDER A DOCTOR'S CARE. I HAVE SEEN ALOT OF BCBS DENIALS, AND WANTED TO KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THEM AS THEIR INSURER, AND WON AN APPEAL?    — melindameyers (posted on May 20, 2002)

HI Melinda---we have talked before about this---I sent my things to Walter May 2---he contacted me on the 6th that he had all my information--I also had sent an urget appeal on the same day--its on my profile page--anyway--I just happened to call and ask them to send a letter detailing my denial--I had not one letter sent to me or the surgeon actually denying me--just over the phone--they had promised to send one over a month ago--well when I called-they told me that I was in 3rd level review again---I hanven't heard from Walter---so I am unsure if he has sent anything--if I do find out something---I will let you know--Linda

The best way to improve medical treatment is to force health care insurers to also carry your life insurance. Sorry about my spelling didn't have my contacts in--lol

I too, have sent my "package" to Walter Lindstrom as of May 1st. I got acknowledgment that it has been received and my check has cleared the bank. I am also waiting to hear something from him soon as my appeal will go before the Board on June 19th. I will let you know when I hear something.
