WHO HAS USED WALTER LINDSTROM FROM OBESITY LAW .COM

I HAVE BLUE CROSS BLUE SHIELD OF FL, THEY DENIED ME FOR NOT HAVING ONE YEAR OF DOCTOR SUPERVISED WEIGHT LOSS ATTEMPTS. SO I HAVE NOW HIRED WALTER LINDSTROM , AND WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM ANYONE WHO HAS DONE THE SAME. THANK YOU    — melindameyers (posted on May 1, 2002)

I also had BlueCross/BlueShield, but was Anthem out of Indiana/Ohio and they said the exact same thing. They denied it because I didn't have 12 consecutive months of dr monitored diet history. I then fought with them over that issue for 3 months and my own appeal, then hired Walter to handle it. He prepared a 28 page legal document/appeal disecting and ripping appart their 12 month requirement from numerous legal and medical aspects. I was approved within 3 days of them getting it. Best thing I ever did and now am 8 weeks post-op and down 62 lbs. Good luck.

Join the club---BCBS also denied me for that reason---after theothers didn't hold water---like I had to prove I was obese for more than 5 years--I did that--with the last 15 years of medical records---then I needed thyroid panel done again---did that and denied again--I thought they would run out of reasons before too long---but, the strangest thing happened---my surgeon and I wrote another appeal letter and enclosed all my records again---we had a denial letter dated April 18---guess what --April 23 that stated what I needed to be approved---height and weight, bmi, all the things that were previously sent--I think alot of times at BCBS the "right hand doesnt know what the left hand is doing". Anyway I am sending my things to Walter tomorrow---I have been fighting since Nov. 2001 and I am just going to level the playing field for their little game--call in my backup---and thanks Dell for your advice to me too--you are an angel!
