Question:
Has anyone used Walter Lindstrom with Obesitylaw.com, to win an appeal?

I have been denied, because I don't have a year of medically supervised dieting. So I wanted to know if anyone has used obesitylaw .com to help win their appeal? And if so what was the outcome?    — melindameyers (posted on April 14, 2002)

I have Anthem BlueCross/BlueShield (out of Ohio/Indiana) and ran into the same thing. They dedied because I didn't have 12 consecutive months of dr monitored diet. Therefore, they said that it wasn't "medically necessary" even though my BMI was 63, and I had 6 of the 7 comorbidities that the NIH say only one qualifies you for WLS with a BMI of over 35. After fighting with the insurance for nearly 4 months, I hired Walter Lindstrom, and within 3 days of him sending my appeal in, they approved me. Now 6 weeks post op and down 48+ lbs. I highly recommend Walter, especially if you have any weight related health problems. Good luck and don't give up.
