Question:
Will my IUD need to be removed before I have my RNY Gastric Bypass surgery this June?

I have had my IUD since 1998 and I made everyone aware about it @ my
surgeons office but I was told 1000 times that it wasn't any big deal and
was probably best that I keep it considering I'd become more fertile with
the quick weightloss and release of hormones. Hope that helps,

I am by no means an expert, but I heard that sometimes it's not good to
have an IUD after WLS because it can cause heavier periods. Heavier
periods can cause you to lose more iron, and might make you anemic if
you're not careful. Just thought I'd mention it.
