Question:
Why do I feel lightheaded after exercise?`
I am 8 months post-op and have lost 150 lbs. I work out 3-4 days per week and have recently started adding considerably more cardiovascular exercise in an attempt to get through this last 50 lbs. Today, I noticed that I felt extremely drowsy / lightheaded after my workout. This feeling didn't pass until 2 hours after I had eaten a high-protein meal and drunk 30 oz. of water. Do I need to be eating more before my workouts? If so, what types of food would be good? Won't this slow down my weight loss? — Terissa R. (posted on November 11, 2001)

I had noticed that I would get lightheaded and dizzy after workouts so what
I did was I began drinking water throughout my exercise routine and that
all went away. I think I was getting dehydrated and that was the problem.
The more water I could get down throughout the workout, the better my head
felt. Try it and see if the feeling still occurs.
