Question:
Has anyone had a panniculectomy at the same time as their WLS

This probably only applies to older patients, who have gained and lost over the years and have a lot of hanging fat which interfers with everything. I think my UTI's are connected to this.    — [Anonymous] (posted on September 16, 2001)

Yes i did. No i am not older but i had a very large abdomen, although it was not really hanging my dr felt i would be able to move and breath easier removing part of it in surgery. I had an open RNY.
