ummm i'm not trying to be mean, but did you think you would be healed by 17
days postop? don't push yourself or you could cause yourself more pain and
a longer healing time. i bet if you call your doctor and tell them how you
are feeling they will tell you to hold off on the bending. good luck to
you. and take care of yourself!!

Hi there. First, please talk with your doctor (hopefully he/she has a good
bedside manner and doesn't just care about the money). At this point I was
NOT doing any exercising other than walking. I didn't do any strenuous
exercising or stretching. You need to be EXTREMELY careful that you do not
hurt your recovery.

Carol, like the others said, you should not be touching your toes this
soon. You had MAJOR SURGERY!

Hi Carol.... I am 12 days out and when I left the hospital I was told to
not bend, twist, lift more than 5 lbs, pick nothing up off the floor and no
situps for 6-8 weeks. My surgery was open however and perhaps yours was
lap. Please contact your doctors office and see what is best for you!
good luck.

I had a lap done and I was told the only exercise I was to do for 6 wks was
walking. Don't try to over do your self. This is the time your body needs
to repair itself. Just walk through out the day and relax. If you push
yourself you could really hurt yourself.
