Question:
To All You Salt & Pepper Women

I'm 4.5 post op open RNY and I've started noticing a considerable amount of hair loss. The strange thing is that 90% of what I'm losing is my gray hair! Has anyone else noticed this? I'm just curious. My hair is naturally dark and I'm wondering if the hair that grows in place of the gray will come in black or gray.    — Jennifer H. (posted on February 2, 2002)

I agree with Helen - my gray hair came back gray! And even more of them! The additional gray hair didn't have anything to do with the surgery or hair loss - it had everything to do with genetics. Thank goodness for my hairdresser and haircolor!!!

Wow! I thought it was just me! It seems my gray is what is falling out as well, along w/ lots of brown, but I am definitely less gray. Bummer though about it coming back :(
