Question:
6 months or longer after surgery, will I be able to eat fried oysters?
I know this is crazy, but I have not seen the nutritionist yet and I am wondering if I will ever be able to eat fried shrimp and oysters or hot wings again? Of course in moderation and here and there - but will I? — blank first name B. (posted on November 4, 2001)

I am 3 months out and i can eat fried foods--not in mass quantities. I have
had fried shrimp and eat hot wings, too. I only can take about two hot
wings at once and i am stuffed. Some how its not the same if i cannot eat
20 of them. Go figure!

I can eat anything in moderation. I have had fried foods and wings, without
a problem. But it can be different for everyone. I decided my health is
more important than loosing the ability to eat some foods, but am VERY
thankful I tolerate everything. Down 89 pounds since july 23rd.:)

I had my surgery in June, went to Florida at the end of August and ate 3
fried oysters for dinner one night. They were wonderful, and all I wanted
was those 3! (Raw ones went down well, too.)

I occassionally eat deep fried foods. But I don't crave it like I did.
