Question:
I need to gain at least 5-10# more before my consultation in March
Does anyone know of a way to gain quick weight? I know this sounds ridiculous, but I was very sick recently and lost about 12#. Now I have to gain it back before March or I might not qualify. I have never in my whole life had to try to gain weight. — [Anonymous] (posted on February 12, 2001)

Hi! I have never had that problem either!! :-) However, I would think a
diet dense in calories would do the trick. Lots of McDonalds etc. Plus
good for you stuff too--whole milk, etc. Hope it helps! Good Luck!!

I know exactly how you feel...I had to gain that much to qualify myself. I
had about 3 weeks to gain it, and I totally gorged myself, mainly with
sugars and McDonalds. But I also had the holidays to thank. A few couple
hints, Drink water all the way to the doctors, eat a huge breakfast, wear
your heaviest clothes/boots etc... And try not to completely stand up
straight, (take shoes off for this) Even an inch will help in your
calculation of BMI. I gained all but two pounds of what I needed and was
shorter than I had thought, so I just made it. All of this sounds crazy.
Hope this helps. Good Luck!

I've never had a problem gaining weight, but if you really want to put it
on: Mexican food, lots of cheese, hamburgers, fries, onion rings, malts,
ice cream, bags of cookies, candy, Italian food. Oh, I'm making think
about all the old "friends" I used to comfort me. But, no
longer!

Besides the sugar, fat and water add salt to retain the water.
