anyone have any answers to this???

IF my group insurance does NOT come through, I found an individual policy that will cover me regardless of my weight. This is their exclusion. "Will not cover treatment for exogenous obesity". They looked up the CPT code 43846 and said it IS covered, but the lady in benefits had no idea what exogenous obesity is? I am a nurse and neither do I. I look it up in the medical dictionary and it says from an external source. ANY help???    — Laura S. (posted on November 8, 2000)
