Question:
I was never tender headed before my surgery?
Now it hurt for me to comb or brush my hair or wash or blow dry my hair. I never had this issue before. I wear braids or fashion updo, but now whew..sometime when I comb my hair I have a tear or two. 7 months postop down 85 pounds — Ruschell (posted on June 12, 2005)

Hi Ruschell,
I personally never expericenced being more 'tender-headed' than before
surgery, but it could be your protein intake. Maybe try increasing the
number of protein grams. I sas this because you mentioned when you comb
your hair, you have breakage.
Also, I am not sure if you are familair with the BAF (Black American
Forum), but you might try and post your question there. Here is the link:

Hi Ruschell,
I have not experienced the tenderheadedness however, I am experiencing mild
hairloss. I have seriously boosted my protien intake and hopefully by doing
the same it will help you. By the way your pictures are beautiful.

Sounds like it could be a nerve issue. I know that some have problems with
that when losing a great amount of weight. Make sure you are taking all
your vitamins and specifically B-12
