I was told to take pills with a small amount of liquid. Drinking large
amounts could hasten pills through your intestine and decrease amount
absorbed.

Liquid moves things out of the pouch quickly, and into the small intestine.
However, nutrients are not absorbed in the pouch, but in the small
intestine. However, liquids will not push vitamins or food through the
small intestine faster. It's not like a hollow tube. The digestive system
slows down the movement of food (and pills) through the small intestine to
allow time to absorb the nutrients.

I have always taken my vitamins and pills with water. My bloodwork is
great so I must be absorbing what I need, well enough.

I take them with a little fluid (apx 1/4 cup) I avoid drinking large amts
as not to flush then through.(sort of like a title wave) Since we don't
have a stomach, the longer in the small intestine, the better. When I
worked endocopy, the colonoscopy pictures would show undigested pills when
the massive fluid pushed them through the system too fast.
