Question:
Does anyone have any idea how much an arm lift costs.

I was wondering how much it costs for an arm lift. I know it can vary but I am curious. Also wondering if there are any excercises that can help to reduce the amount of skin on the arms.    — Maria H. (posted on July 8, 2004)

In Cincinnati, there is a surgeon who charges %4188 for an arm lift. However, there id another one who charges %12,00 for a TT, Arms and a breast lift. It does vary from surgeon to durgeon and probably from area to area. It id said that once the collagen has broken down in the arms, no amount of exercise will restore muscle tone. Working with weights will tone up the muscle and help with the sjin that still has collagen though. What, you don't like your bat wings? LOL

If I do just the batwings, which in my case will be an incision from armpit to elbow, it will be $5500 total - surgeon, surgery center and anesthesiologist. It is an outpatient surgery. If I do it as a secondary procedure to a breast lift and implants then it drops into the low $4000 range. For the breast lift, augmentation and arm skin removal (including the bra overhang on the sides), my PS will charge me $12,800. It is quite a tidy sum to say the least. I actually got an estimate from another surgeon and he came within a few hundred dollars of the guy I've been working with. He does offer a 10% discount on the surgeon's portion if you pay cash, but that's the only savings. There is another surgeon who does do a lot of work with the bariatric program I went through and he has his own surgery center. I suspect it would be around $3000-4000 cheaper to go with him, but I'm not ready to jump that way yet. I won't be doing anything related to arms or breasts before next year at the earliest, so I will see then. The guy I have been working with has done some amazing things with my body, so I hesitate to "cheap" out. Also he ended up doing about 4 hours of lipo on my legs with my last surgery in preparation for the skin removal in Nov. Yet when we put the cost together originally he wasn't going to do as extensive of work and only planned 1-1/2 hours, which I paid him and the hospital for since that work was not covered by insurance. He has not come back and asked for an additional payment, so right there I have saved a good $2000+. He also uses future surgeries to prefect little things from previous surgeries and usually doesn't charge for his time. I also feel the $7600 he got from insurance and me to do my LBL was way less than he should have gotten. The surgery was 10-1/2 hours and I had 8-1/2 weeks of fluid complications and 4 drains had to be cut back in etc., and he ate it all. He certainly has stood by me and I feel I should stand by him also. He literally is a miracle worker is all I can say!

I got a heck of a deal on my TT and arm lift ... paid approx $8000 for both. (The Dr. knew I fought tooth and nail for over a year with UHC to get it covered...wasted my time and energy on them. He tried to help.) Worth every penny. Looking into getting my thighs and butt done with in the next year too.
