Question:
Anyone gotten nausea after only eat ting 5-6- bites--11 mos PO.
Ever since I introduced solid foods I have been nauseated after about 5-6 bites of most foods. They have scoped me and tested my GB. Both negative. I am 11 months out and I can eat 500-800 calories per day. I have completely stopped losing, probably from starvation syndrome. Help!! — Sally B. (posted on June 23, 2004)

Yes. 5-6 bites would be a miracle for me. I will be 9 months post op in
one week. My max on a good day is 2 bites. No, no stricture, gallbladder
is gone, docs are still trying to find the problem. I have not been able to
handle solid food since surgery. You are not alone on this one. If you
can crack this mystery, drop me an email.
My best to you,
Jackie O.

Welcome to my world, sister. This has been the same rollercoaster I have
been on, and I am 2 1/2 years out. I am tired of dealing with it. Read my
profile. So, I am done fighting with it, and just do a tiny bit of solid
food, what I can get a way with, and primarily do protein drinks. So what?
It's what I can live with. I am alive, and a lot healthier than I ever was.
I am tired of people telling me that they could "never live like
this" without eating whatever they want. It's just food, for crying
out loud. Fuel. So.....

I have learned to enjoy the protein shakes that I really, really like. I
drink Nectar protien drinks, and GlycerLean, and quite a bit of Soy Slender
soy milk in lattes. Cow Milk makes my sick, and if I see one more doctor
shrug I will lose it completely. I refuse to be scoped again only to hear
there is nothing wrong. Okay, then I will just do this for now :)
