Question:
Recoverin from my broken ankle

Good news everyone-I have a surgery date of nov 10, 2004!!! Feb of this year I dislocated my left knee and I broke my Left ankle as well, now am walking with a cane. My question is how can I exercise to lose the weight for surgery, Dr.K said 15-20 pounds, I still having major swelling in my ankle, also am going to P.T. 3x's a week. I do want to condition my mind and body for the surgery. So what type of exercise can you great PEOPLE advise me to do, I know my date is six months away!    — Ruschell (posted on May 14, 2004)

Susan Powter's book Stop the Insanity has exercises you can do in a chair. Try it and maybe it will help. Do whatever is necessary to get to your surgery date. This is the greatest thing that ever happened to me. Good Luck and God Bless. Stacey 266/155
