Question:
Do you think it is the protein that makes the weight come off faster?

I don't know if protein itself makes the weight come off faster. I do know
that we don't need to eat as much of it to feel full and satisfied and
protein doesn't cause cravings like carbs do. Also, protein takes longer
for us to digest so we stay full longer. I think protein helps us in these
ways to prevent us from eating other less nutritious choices and fewer of
them. Of course there's the added plus that protein helps us heal. Hope
this helps you.

There is a science behind this. Our bodies use the carbs for energy first
thing; what it doesn't use it stores as fat. If we eat a mostly protein
diet the body is forced to use our stored fat for energy. Keep in mind
that not all carbs are bad. We should have some grains and nuts for fiber,
green and leafy vegetables are good, and even some fruit. It's the highly
processed stuff that can screw us up!
