Question:
I have a few co-workers who had their WLS

Has any one with the insurance Pacfic care-hmo, had their WLS done at USC- CA?? I can assume USC is in our network. How was Stay? and how long for u to get a Surgery date??? THANK YOU SO KINDLY! <><> ~RD~    — Ruschell (posted on October 12, 2003)

The way it works with PacifiCare HMO is that you will be referred to a surgeon that is contracted with your physician's group. When you select a PCP, you are also selecting a network of specialists and hospitals. You can contact your group to find out which surgeon they contract with, and you can also contact USC to ask them which medical groups or IPA's (Independent Physician's Association) they contract with.
