Question:
Is breast reduction,herniarepair or a c-section considered major surgery?

Or is this one more major then all three of those? I didn't even think about complications of those when i had those surgeries.    — JenLynn (posted on September 27, 2003)

yes, they are all major surgeries

I heard at a seminar that the RNY surgery carries the same risks as the C section. Thought that was interesting. I would say all 3 are major surgeries and all 3 can have the same type of complications.
