Question:
Has anyone lost more......
than 10lbs. a month after the 6 month mark or does it sharply decrease to the 3-4/mo deal? Thanks for the answers ahead of time. — TP (posted on January 15, 2003)

I am 9 months post op. I would say in the past 3 months lost about 40
pounds. I think it would depend on how heavy you were to start, your diet
and how often you exercise. I am just glad to see that it hasn't slowed. I
want to lose about 50 more. We'll see what happens.

TD. Sounds about right to me. Unfortuantly.

It does depend on how much you have to lose. Those that start out at
higher weights often lose 10-15 pounds a month between 6 months and a year.
Once you get closer to goal, even if it is at the 6 month mark or later,
the loss does slow to 4,6, or so a month.

I averaged a loss of 10.25 lbs/month from months 6 - 10. Some months as
much as 13. This is the first month I didn't really lose - only 1.5 lbs.
However, the previous poster is right, and it seems you started with a very
low BMI. You have to look at it in perspective. If you are still losing
10+ pounds each month after six months, you just may dissapear! ;)
