Question:
Post op pain
I had a lap done in May. A few months later the gall bladder came out. I`m still having a lot of pain on my left side in my rib cage. Seems like I can get most food down ok but it gets stuck in my tummy. Lots of loose stools. I kind of feel like I`ve been thrown to the wolves with no answers. I hope someone has them!! Any sugestions welcome. — Michelle D. (posted on October 18, 2002)

Honey, I don't have an answer for you, but have you contacted your surgeon?
Do you go to support group meetings? I would suggest even if your surgeon
says its "normal" ask those in your group if you don't get the
answer you are looking for here...Take care!

Having your gall bladder removed can cause loose stools and some food
intolerance forever in some people. I had mine removed in 1998 but I never
had any problems like this. I do know a few people who do have this
problems that never had WLS just had the gall bladder removed. I would
talk to your dr and see if that is a side effect from the gall bladder
surgery.

oH YEAH - ONE MORE THING. I HAD MY GALL BLADDER REMOVED 4 YRS AGO AND I
STILL HAVE OCCASIONAL PAIN UNDER MY RIGHT BREAST. I HAD IT CHECKED OUT AND
IT WAS FINE SO IT MUST BE A SIDE EFFECT OR SOMETHING. WHO KNOWS.
