Do you eat? You have to eat. Your body needs fuel to live. If you think you are turning anorexic, visit your doctor right away. Unless you refuse to eat because you think you'll gain weight, anorexia isn't really what you have. Either way, please sit down with your doc and tell him what's going on. Best of Luck and God Bless!

Tony- I have to force myself to eat. I feel miserable after I eat anything. I don't know if it is all phsyical or emotional or both. I could easily just STOP eating all together. That would in fact be easier than continuing to eat. Make sense? I at least try to get something in though. I don't want to trade in one eating disorder for another and one set of health problems for another! I am afraid that even though I am losing now, it will not continue unless I eat more than I am. I currently get in about 350 calories a day. WHat are you getting in? Are you at least making sure you drink enough? Do you feel guilty after you eat? I do sometimes, and I am trying to change that. Good Luck to you! (open RNY 7/23/02 -55 lbs)

You have to eat to keep losing weight. I was in the hospital for 91 days after my surgery (long story). When I was finally able to eat food again about 3 weeks later I stopped eating anything and I stopped losing. You have to eat to burn fat.

You've got to eat... hungry or not. If you can't eat a meal, then in this case, I'd say GRAZE! Eat one once of cheese. Then in an hour or less if you can, eat more. Eat meat too. I hate protein drinks, however you should drink some. You sound as if your blood pressure is dropping to. Please call your surgeon and tell him/her what is going on. Keep in touch with your regular doctor too. When you are less than 6 months out it is very important to keep on top of all these things.

Tony, are you getting in enough water? Often times, the dizzyness and tunnelvision is from lack of fluids. What about all your vitamins? Regardless of whether you are hungry or not, you have to eat. Eventually your hunger will come back but in the meantime, force yourself. Just do it. No excuses.
