I am 5'3" tall and will be 6 months post-op on the 27th. I have lost
106 pounds already,I have about 30 more to lose, I never paid much
attention to how much I lost each month as long as it is coming off I am
happy, I would recommend exercise, exercise, exercise, I walk at least 7
miles 4 days a week and the other 3 I do weight training in the morning and
bike riding in the afternoon at least 7 miles also, sometime I ride my bike
the same route as I walked the day before, the exercise has help
tremendously,, I will still need a tummy tuck but I am tightning up very
well everyplace else,, sorry to drag on and on, but I love to talk about
this awesome journey of mine, this surgery was the best decision of my
life..

Everyone is different. I was a slow loser. I started out at 5'3"
& 258 lbs. At 18 mos. post-op I had lost 115 lbs.
It came off gradually and it seemed like one day absolutely nothing fit.

I'm 5'2 and started at 248. I'm 9 1/2 months post-op and weighed in today
at 135. I lose about 27 pounds in month 1 and 20 in month 2 and then
averaged 10 per month for about the next 4 months. Then it slows down or
stops for a while. Mine has just picked up (or I guess that would be
dropped down) since I had my tummy tuck a couple of weeks ago. I just came
back from my WLS surgeon who's concerned I'm still going to lose even more
weight until May since he says out bodies lose for 18 months!! I told him
I wanted to take off about another 10 pounds by December and I would be
done. He told me based on what my body looks like right now, I don't even
need to lose the 10 pounds (I love this man!!).
