Question:
Having difficult time locating a Psychiatrist in Sacramento, and N. California area

I live near Sacramento, but I am going to have surgery in Fresno. I cannot find a psychiatrist that accepts MEDICARE. Any suggestions?    — Tina L. (posted on March 31, 2002)

This is probably a stupid question, but was a Psych evaluation required for your surgery? I thought it would be for mine, and found out it wasn't. I had even started "looking" for people in my insurance- and it was all for nothing.

Hi Tina--There is a terrific psyche dr in Fresno--Dr. Mary Amacher--she is also a sucessful WLS patient--I don't know if she accepts Medicare but you could call and ask--best of luck to ya!
