Question:
Since I started drinking protein supplements, my wedding ring has turned my finger
green. When I stop drinking them, this does not happen. Anyone know why? — Melissa B. (posted on December 27, 2001)

Well Melissa, I wish I had an answer for your question but I don't. I have
been experiencing the same thing. I have never had this happen to me before
but it seem like about the last 2 months it's been going on. I would also
love to hear if someone does have the answer for this. I am 5 1/2 months
post op and down 103 pounds. Good luck!

ta-da...I have an answer for you. I used to sell jewelry. Fashion Jewelry
you expect that of, but 14k and 10k you don't expect your finger to turn
green! Well, it can. If a person has too much acidity in their system, they
can turn their finger green and sometimes blackish gray. However, I do not
know of an easy solution or why a protein supplement would increase your
acidity level.
