I've had 3 C-Sections AND and appendectomy done to me and I successfully
had Lap RNY 2 1/2 weeks ago and I feel GREAT! My doctor had no problems
completing the procedure lap, althought it WAS the first question I asked
in recovery. In my experience, the Lap RNY was a "piece of cake"
compared to my previous abdominal surgeries. Good luck to you.

I had my gallbladder out 10 years ago, open. I thought that would exclude
me as a candidate for lap RNY, but my surgeon said he could do it lap.
Apparently, the more experienced the surgeon is with lap, the more likely
they will try to do it that way, even on a non-virgin stomach! It's really
only the surgeries you've had that are above the waist on your stomach that
count as potential troble makers. C-sections and hysterectomies and stuff
do not interfere in any way with lap RNY.

I had had 2 C-sections, an abdominal hysterectomy, and an open gall bladder
surgery before my lap RNY. The RNY was a completely uncomplicated
procedure despite "significant adhesions (scar tissue)" from my
previous gall bladder surgery. If your surgeon has experience and
expertise in the area of laparascopic surgery, there should not be a
problem. Good luck!
