hospital packing

I brought my own shower gel so I could feel pampered during that first shower. Also, brought my own shampoo and hand lotion, lots of lip balm. You don't need clothes, except for slippers. Forget reading, TV is even hard to watch!    — f M. (posted on March 29, 2000)

Ray, I forgot the most important thing to pack! Bring that fan. There was a snowstorm on my second night after LAP RNY but I still needed my fan. Used a "Snakelight" I had given my husband for Christmas last year. Worked great, wrapped easily around those hospital bed frame. The nurses liked to pop an O2 mask on me at night and I'd just sweat like the dickens. A pretty picture, eh?
