Question:
I am in my third week and have a stomach ache
everytime I eat something even though it is on my list of things I can eat my stomach rumbles for about a half hour. Has anyone else experience this and how long will this last? I have a stomach ache most of the time. — Candy I. (posted on December 17, 1999)

As of today I am 9 days out. I get this stomach rumbling too. Although it's
weird it doesn't cause any pain, so I'm not too worried about it. I think
it's just gas moving through my system. I imagine it's like the last of the
bathtub water going down the drain...grrremmmmrrm!

Hi, I had my surgery rny prox. I was nauseous for about 2
months. I asked them to refill the compazine tabs that they sent me home
with from the hosp. I took it about 2 to 3 times a day. even if I wasnt
nauseated, Just to control the
symptoms because I knew I would get nauseated. Then as
the symptoms cleared I wouldnt have to take them as often then not at all,
Give it time because this was major sugery
your body is learning to adjust to the new format of digestion. and also
the stapling of the stomach. I would
definately let the md know> They also gave me pepcid tabs and pain pills
which I took at any signs of discomfort. I am
one not to want to suffer at all. I let the md know I was
uncomfortable. Hope this helps.

I asked my bariatric nurse what exactly this was and she said it is gas.
From what I understand it will go away in about a month:)It is embarrassing
isn't it?
