Question:
What if you are not happy with your weight loss?
Is it possible to approach your surgeon about doing additional surgery to help you lose more? Is there an operation that could do this? I had LAP RNY and they bypassed 150 CM. Could I possibly have more bypassed or something? — pennix122 (posted on February 25, 2005)

Hey Eleanor: I went over and read your profile and it sounds to me as if
you have some major "head" issues going on. I'm no expert and
definitely can't give medical advice but I'd say your best bet, rather than
a revision, is to get some help with the emotional and mental issues around
this surgery. It sounds as if you know the right things to do but are
having a real struggle doing them and your posts in your profile sound like
you might really be suffering. Of course it goes without saying that you
should have your "mechanics" checked to be sure there are no
issues there. I feel for you and hope you find an answer soon before you
lose all the ground you've gained.

You have lost close to 100 lbs! What a great accomplishment! Be proud of
yourself! I have heard of so many people dying because of revisions. You
really don't need it. What you need to do is take a look at what and how
much your eating. It's hard to practice self control, but maybe all you
need is a little outside help for this. It's a lot cheapier and less
risky. Good luck to you!

I quickly read random parts of your profile. I didn't see anything happy or
positive written. Sounds like a good time to get a good therapist that can
address all the issues. Even if you weighed 110 pounds, weight loss won't
take care of the other things. I wish you the best.

(((Eleanor))) You seem to be in so much pain. I don't have any advice for
you, just a hug. Life sucks sometimes, no matter what you weigh.
