Question:
Has anyone with pbc (primary biliary cirrhosis) had WLS??

I was diagnosed 2 years ago with pbc stage 1. I have been researching weight loss surgery and am in the process of talking to my pcp about it. I have a number of health problems that would be eliminated or under control with weight loss. Thanks...........    — Ruth D. (posted on October 18, 2004)

Hi there, Just want you to know -- My father has PBC. Read my bio and you will see me detail it. This is my biggest fear as PBC is hereditary. Please email me so we can chat. My father is 7 years post transplant and doing FABULOUS. One of the concerns during surgery is the size of the liver, so you would probably not be a lap candidate, but please email me -- I think we might be able to help each other.
