This isn't exactly an 'exotic' explanation for your pain, but hopefully
it's all it is. How about gas pains? You are so early out and gas pains
are very common. Did you have an open or a lap procedure done. I hear lap
procedures can case more problems with gas. Hang in there. Things get
soooooo much better! (Open RNY 10/30/02 minus 196 lbs)

Call your dr. and ask if you can take maalox max. Its a quick dissolve
tablet in mixed berry that tastes pretty good. I had KILLER gas at 3 weeks
out and thought I was dying:)
Good luck!

Glenda,
I'm 4 months out. In the beginning I swallowed a lot of air which caused
me a lot of pain like a big ball in my stomach. I found I was gulping my
drinks. Try drinking slower. Hope this helps.

Glenda,
I am 3 weeks post op and I believe that it is gas pains. You cam try to
drink slowly. I walked as much as possible and when I layed down I tried
laying on my side and that seemed to help also if you can lay with your
bottom in the air it helps too, ( I know the last one sounds funny but it
really helped me!!). Hope this helps!!
