I am four weeks out and I eat the same things you are eating. In fact I
tried chicken and it did not do well with me. I think it is because it is
too dry. It got hung and I frothed right after I ate the first bite. Four
weeks out and I have lost 42.5 lbs.

I'm 6 weeks out 6/11 and I have been eating chicken for about 1 week. I
have no problems with it as long as I chew, chew, chew and take small
bites. My doctor told me to eat fish first though.

I started chicken at 6 weeks and never had a problem with it. Just be very
careful and chew well so it doesnt get stuck. I also ate ground turkey
which worked really well for me then and still does today. Remember if it
doesnt work one day try again because the pouch has a mind of its
own...what doesnt work one day may work the next. Good luck to you. Wendi

Hi, I'm 3 weeks post-op and I had chicken last weekend. Bought a
rotisserie chicken from the market and ate a few bites then cut the rest up
and made chicken salad. I haven't had any problems. My Dr. told me at my
2-week post-op check up that as long as I could keep it down it was OK.

I am 9 weeks out and still can't have chicken or turkey--doesn't agree with
me. I do best on shrimp, salmon (baked in foil), and canned tuna. As
everyone has said if at first you don't succeed with a food, try, try
again.

I have found a great way to eat chicken without it being too dry and it's
also very tasty. I mix up some Lipton Cup-A-Soup Cream of Chicken and then
add some pieces of chicken to that, breaking up the chicken with my
fingers. (You can make the cup-a-soup to a thicker consistency by adding
less water than called for, if you like.) Then I eat what I can of it and
save the remainder for my next meal. It makes the chicken go down very
easily without seeming too dry. Just remember to still chew the chicken
very well. YUM!
