Question:
Is it normal to still be having fevers and chills 4 days post-op?

NO!!!!! You should call your surgeon RIGHT AWAY. I was rehospitalized for
a fever 4 days after my surgery with an elevated white count. This can be
very serious. I hope you feel better soon but don't discount a fever. It
might be a sign of something important.

I was told that if I had a temp of 101 for 24 hours or more that I needed
to contact my doctor ASAP! If it were 100 but stayed there consistently
for a couple of days then again, I should contact my doctor. Chills are
not abnormal though, so if you have chills and are assuming you have a
temp, you might now. If your thermometer agrees then definitely call it in!

No it is not normal, I would call your surgeon right away, I hasd a fever
at 1 week post-op and had a slight infection, it did finally though clear
up, but if you have had one now for 4 days, it could be something worse,
please, do not hesitate and call!!!!
