Question:
Pain at surface of incision
Hi. I'm 4 months post-op and having pesky pain at the skin level of my incision from time to time. It almost feels like stretch mark pain. If I wear a binder or all-in-one it seems to help. Has anyone else experienced this? What's the deal? Thanks. — CarmenLin (posted on March 29, 2003)

I have skin sensitivity at the incision sites. I also had this with a
breast biopsy that I had in 1998. It may be due to nerve regeneration as
you heaal. When I had the breast done it took quite a number of months for
it to disappear but this surgery was much easier. Maybe others have more
experience with this. Good luck!

I had this too. Like the previous post, it is a nerve regeneration thing.
It was recommended to me to actually rub the area that is sore and it will
help decrease the sensitivity. I tried it and it really seemed to work. It
didn't feel all that great but after about a week the pain was gone. Good
luck!
